Healing Stories Therapeutic Lifestory Work (HSTLW) is a service which helps individuals overcome the pain of their past through story telling and art. HSTLW mainly works with children and young adults to help them navigate their past therefore shaping their future through narrative and unlocking creative activities. At the end of the programme, the client walks away with a book of their history which helps them understanding the basis of their belonging.
MB Design Co worked with HSTLW to design a brand which encompasses an illustrative and artistic aesthetic. Using a line illustration and scriptive typeface, the brand is inviting yet remaining professional and in line with the health sector.
Using a simple line drawing, we wanted to convey the idea of self discovery within the process. Each individual uncovers new ideas and acknowledges the twists and turns life has thrown their way in which shapes them. The line simultaneously weaves and sculpts the hands and brain that is seen in the logo.
