MB Design Co worked with Director and Founder of Angels in Heaven, Amy, to bring to life her vision and dream of owning a business which is extremely close to her heart.
Amy and I first met at one of my first markets. I had only been doing the markets for a short while and was selling my book The Spotty Socked Lops. We quickly got chatting and a very special friendship was formed. In 2018, Amy and her family unfortunately lost their baby boy Korbyn, a short while after he was born. Having seen a close family friend suddenly loose a child, this cause was extremely close to my heart. Amy and I first started work on the illustrations for the book ‘I See You’. Over the next couple of the weeks, the book blossomed into something beautiful. We then decided that we needed a way to market the book in which the organisation Angels in Heaven was born. Angels in Heaven is a unique support service aiming to help those affected by pregnancy and infant loss maintain a special connection to their child. Partnering with numerous charities such as Bears of Hope and Red Nose, Angels in Heaven gives families methods to grieve after the loss of an infant. From Connections Cards to t-shirts, the profits made from the products sold go to these charities.
This project will forever remain close to my heart as I hope it gives families some hope of feeling close to their little ones again.
A unique colour pallet has been designed to create a heavenly feel throughout the brand’s identity. Illustrations play a huge visual role within the aesthetic of the brand. Using a digital watercolour tool in conjunction with soft pencil, these drawings help narrate the ideas and concepts and enable the families to feel a connection with their little ones.
If you have a celebration coming up or an angelversiary or just feel drawn to connect with your angel, hold these cards close to your heart, remove all negative energy from your mind and ask your angel to guide you in making your decision on how you will include them on that special day.
Search through the cards and you will become drawn to a certain one or even a few different ones and know that this decision was made with guidance from your angel above. Angel’s In Heaven hopes these cards of connection bring you closer to your angel and give you a sense of comfort within.

‘I See You' is a graphic memoir written by Amy Sherar and illustrated by Meg Blackburn. Amy has written I See You as a way to strengthen the spiritual connection with your angel in heaven. This story focuses on grief and positively moving forward after the loss of an infant. The book uses special motifs and ideas which symbolise a unique presence and connection with you baby; providing comfort and strength to families of a lost infant.
